"weder-weder lang iyan"

The weather is so effing HOT (as in HOT with all caps, not just simply hot. grrr)

It's so EFFING HOT your vision starts including those waves when you look at things that are at a distance. You won't experience NOT sweating in a day (unless of course you're filthy rich and you have air conditioning at every room in your house). There would be no choice of clothing except for thin ones and strappy ones. T_T It's really really really hot.. ::sob::

So, enough about the weather. What i feel like writing right now is... Nothing (yeah right, let's see shall we?). I dunno, just not in the mood to use the internet anymore I guess (which I thought I would never say - wait - are those pigs flying?! haha..) I haven't updated much.

So, the good news is: I PASSED everything! ^_^ Yey! I was so nervouse, no, scrath that, I was EXTREMELY nervous, when I was on my way to AdMU to get my grades. I kept picturing myself taking two additional classes instead of just Math, and I almost fainted (LOL.) hehe. I was a bit surprised at my grades actually, coz I was expecting some to be lower than what I got, which all in all was a pleasant surprise. :) It was worth all my sleepless nights and strained eyes. haha! Hmmm, was surprised to get a B in Botany Lab. Now, if only I got that grade too for Botany Lec. (haha, libre mangarap!) At least I got a C! I was praying for a D actually, instead of an F.

So, due to the surprisingly pleasing event, I have now vowed to focus purely on my studies and make all my parents' headaches worth every penny. heehee. I was a bit peeved during first year, as I thought I was making all the hard work required and wasn't getting the grade I think I deserved - what with all the things I had to worry about and do aside from schoolwork. Now I've learned what I should have known ages ago... :) I guess what I was just doing before was whining, and not really doing the work I should be doing, in exchange for all the effort the people I value around me were doing for me. (aww, ::sniff::sniff:: LOL!)

I look at myself now, and it feels so weird that I'm actually writing a blog. In high school, I was just plain jane, an ignoramus - no desire for gadgets, no desire for blogging, real clothes, or whatever stuff most teens my age were raving about... I just did whatever was an available thing to do.. and I actually liked it. Entering college changed my perspective a bit, because it was like I was surrounded by people who... were different than what i was used to.. not just because they were people I didn't know, but because they were people who were... who had different perspectives. :) It was refreshing, and it was enlightening - although I only got to the enlightening part later on... heehee, at least I got there, no? :)

I've decided to update my blog now once a month (wonder if that'll work?). I'll be looking AT OTHER blogs, but not mine. Hehe. Maybe I'll transfer to wordpress.com. The blogs there seem to be more creative.. Hmmm.. that's my plan anyway. But I'll only see in May if it does work. So then I don't have to make numerous blogs here in Blogger. That one blog can contain all the links I want and the stuff I want to write about - like movies and books and social awareness. :)

I'm currently writing fanfiction (again! LOL. The last time was a disaster!) and I think I have a clearer picture of what I want to write. I just want to finish that before Book 7 of HP comes out, or I'll probably stop the whole thing; because my characters are all based from that. I'm currently addicted to Heroes and Amercian Idol. But who isn't, really? lol.

I activated my AISIS account ages ago for online enlistment, but now I find that I can NOT remember my password. Bummer. (-_-)

Enjoy summer, everyone!^_^

Fresh out of the bucket...

So there, I had to chaperone these kids while watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 - which i thought was like the first movie, with real people, instead of animation stuff. Pfft. It was OK, not bad, but i ended up enjoying the trailers more than the movie. LOL. we bought 2 buckets of popcorn but only ended up eating half of both, so one of 'em kids ended up taking the popcorn home (i really really wanted to eat all of it, but i was in the presence of four barely teenagers so i had to control myself.. haha!)

It was supposed to be one big group of tweeners and they were going to go swimming in a hotel, but the venue got booked so mom decided on a movie.. the problem was most of the people who said were going decided to back out when one minnie-biatch found out she wasn't invited and called all the others to back out too.. tsk, tsk, tsk.. their loss.. :) it just proves SJA's not getting better for my younger (not little, coz i'm the little one.. haha) sis. well, she's transferring school next year so good for her. wish it didn't have to be that way though, more's the pity. parang puro na lang intriga and boys pinagkakaabalahan ng mga estudyante (specifically their batch), and to think they aren't even in high school yet. the commencement exercises for the elementary department was.. boring, to say the least. i mean, come on! the speaker was supposed to inspire the kids entering high school, not talk about herself and how she studied in SJA, we all know that already! sheesh..

I'll be getting my grades tomorrow... i'm hoping nikki'll come with me to AdMU but that's still not confirmed. talked to her on the phone and stuff, t'was great. ^_^ naghasik na naman siya ng lagim nung pumunta sila ng barkada sa binangonan! LOL! for more info on the "explosive" event, check out Alamat na may Lamat.

To Felisa: I miss you too!!! :) i'm missing your long blog entries, haha. community service here in the Philippines.. hmmm.. i was thinking of that, but i remembered i was going to do that for school next sem so i scratched it. i was leaning on maybe regular summer job stuff, like in a fastfood place or something or something near the vicinity of our house :) - but what i really want is to be a freelance writer - dunno how's that gonna happen though. ^_~ enjoy spring break!

I have been doing nothing but eat, sleep, clean, and watch Grey's Anatomy in DVD. LOL. i want a summer job. i need a summer job.

i was thinking of making another blog, just to write about the movies i watch and the books i read - basically just for forms of entertainment. :) hope it works. hehe.

Edit: I just saw Hilary Swank in the background of the pic. feeling close kaya sumingit siya.. haha! =p my sister saw my blog. NOOOOOOOO!!! i wanna watch The Reaping.. (-_-);

Summer: Part Two - Lenten Season

Yeah... It's Holy Week once again.. :) one of my favorite occasions. I like the peace, the quiet, the songs, the chants, the churches, Visita Iglesia, and everything.

We did that today btw, Visita Iglesia - went to 9 churches straight and prayed a lot. Hehe. Took some pics of the church but haven't got time to upload them yet, plus the pics of the four tweeners i chaperoned last Saturday in Promenade to watch TMNT. They're so cute. ^_~

Shouldn't really be blogging, as Lent is a time for contemplation and deprivation, but i thought LOTS of people are going to Bora and beaches and resorts, so I think blogging is a minor thing compared to that. Don't really feel the spirit and quiet of Lent, but I'm not losing hope for Filipinos. :) Saw Tita Olive today in Manila Cathedral, what a coincidence! I haven't seen her in practically ages...

So much to write about and so little time.. :) I've watched movies and read books i want to make a review of: 300, The Natvivity Story, Ain't She Sweet by Susan Elizabeth P., Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (LOL) among others.

I keep sleeping, i'm getting sick of it. I don't want to do household chores anymore, seeing that the only mess i have to clean up are those that are not mine. Haha. I want a summer job.. (-_-) suggestions/recommendations anyone?

Grades are up next week... ACK!!! ::crossmyfingers:: wish me luck!

Summer: Part One

School is officially OVER. :) Hehe.

Well, i was supposed to take summer classes but CAN'T. Good thing it wasn't required or i would've been screwed. Pfft. So that means I'll suffer boredom for 2 months. I miss school already. LOL. If only it didn't include sleepless nights and cramming. haha... wish.

It's raining as I'm typing this. Been a long time since it rained. The last time it rained, I was on my way home and i got SOAKED. No kidding. I only got to update now because as soon as classes began, I binged on the one thing i missed most - SLEEP. What bliss to sleep without worrying about the time you'll have to wake up and study for something or finish a project... Plus we had my sister's graduation to take care of, then I had to chaperone four tweeners in Greenhills. Haha. I'll write about it later...

So, Finals Week was hell. Bearable, but I'm still worried about Botany. I THINK I'll pass, but i can never be too secure about that. My English papers were alright. Last sem papers were returned and i was surpirsed to see I got all B's and one B/B+ (LOL. Sir Vince, what does that mean? I'm a 1+? Hahaha.) That means I should've gotten a B+ instead of a B! Unfair! (Joke..) Too bad Lit papers weren't returned. I wanted to see how I did. Second sem was a particularly difficult sem, dunno why, but i had so much fun during the first one. ::sigh::

I had an accident last Thursday... freaking Fil12 reseacrh paper. It was due that day and I haven't started anything... started about 6am and finished at about 2pm. I could've finished earlier but got stuck halfway, so everything became slower. 3 pm was the deadline, so you could just imagine the panic state i was in while 2 pm was approaching. My house was NOT anywhere near AdMU, mind you.

By 2:15 I left the house and hailed a cab. When we passed Crame and was nearing the left turn towards Katipunan.. BAM! The taxi hit the back of another car! I hit my head at the back of the seat beside the driver and hit my knee on a metal bar portruding from that front seat too. It just had to happen the exact time my blockmates were texting me where i was already so i had my head bent down and didn't see how the collision happened. My glasses sort of embedded on one side of my face so I've got a small wound beside my eye near my nose. Bummer. I got out and was planning to just go when the driver had the gall to ask for payment. I wanted to shout, WTF?! I'm wounded! And most of all, I'm LATE! (I had a forming bruise and lump below my kneecap). I just said fine and gave him the fee... he needed it more anyway. The damage to his cab was severe compared to the other car that only had its taillights smashed.

So there i was, standing on a street i didn't know, shaken, thinking how i was going to explain to my prof why i passed my paper late, because i knew i was never going to make it on time now... thinking that i'd tell my mom about the whole thing when i got home... when the freakiest thing happened - my phone rang - and guess who was calling - MOM. Uh Oh. Would I answer? Of course I would! So my mom freaked out of course, but controlled herself from doing anything hysterical. I just assured her i was fine and was still trying to get a cab to get to AdMU.

I was thinking, Man, my final grade for this subject better be worth it. (-_-) Not to mention that I was NOT able to go with my high school friends in an outing scheduled that day till Friday. That sucked big time. And to find out NIkki was there too... I miss those guys so much already... I was smiling and assuring everyone when in truth i was feeling like crap. They probably had so much fun, and Reema's leaving for Arabia soon. ::sigh::

Anyway, this entry is getting too long, so I'll just post another one later.
