Been A Long Time

Wow... My last entry was March 11, and it's now... March 23... Been what? Almost two weeks. :)

So much has happened, i don't even know where to start! Papers, deadlines, and such at school, Lit14 clas play, Botany class project, busy busy at home, sleep-deprived, laptop to this PC. Waaaaahhh! o_o

I left a part of my diskette at this current PC. ::sshh! heehee:: I know, i know, diskettes sound ancient, but i find them easier! Hehe, technophobe, i tell you. It was this small thing that ensured the write-protection stuff. Anyway, i was already panicking about my papers and such, so i was rushing everything and not in my right state of mind - almost everything was so not going for me that day - my school cd wouldn't work on the laptop, my orange disketter got broken by my brother (GRR!), and now i have no extra cds and diskettes! I used all of the cds to store music! ARGH! I had to print everything and found out all i had were recycled paper. ^^; nothing bad about that but was hoping for better quality papers. ::sigh::

I got late for English class last Friday (March 16), had to take a cab because had so many things to carry. I cannot believe i spent almost four hundred freaking pesos to buy cartons, boards and paint to make a mirror frame for our class play - went home at 9:30pm because mom insisted i get my hair straightened out and we had to get stuff for the hous AND the play (LOVE my hair now, btw, hehehe). It was so stressful, only to find out that MOST of the boards i cut and painted to look like real wood weren't even going to be used. T_T. OMG. I thought i was going to cry... Set design was so stressful, and they probably didn't even know how much i was stressed by it. I looked for all sorts of stuff: like a mirror, a rocking chair, and sala set, then found some from my high school friends - only to be rebutted by that freaking set design leader and the other person i will not mention because s/he does not know the extent of his/her annoying habits and i shall leave it to him/her to find out.

It's more stressful to get stressed and worry about something only to find out that that stress will not have some kind of fulfillment in the end. GRR. Then Katz and I had to do manual labor setting up all the windows,and covering every single row with newspaper and cloth for the venue of the play. And the venue was NOT small. Bdhjddawuhrawrhwaef... (<--- courtesy of Felisa. hehe. miss you! had fun talking to you last time! ^_^) Buti na lang talaga nagustuhan ng profs namin yung play. :) Most people complimented my hair, so i guess that's a good thing. Haha.

Congrats to the actors, and the people behind it! Martin Yambao ROCKS playing the cello! Hahaha! Paco and Bee made everyone feel... kilig. LOL. For more of the play and some pics, check out This is Bleak.

Had to write a research paper 10 pages long, due last Wednesday and i only wrote it Tuesday night till early hours of Wednesday. =p It was returned today and found out i got a C+. LOL. I was expecting something of a C or D.

It was our last official class day for English and Lit TODAY, T_T OMG I thought i was gunna cry! Seriously... I'll miss Sir Vince and Sir Pu - ALL HAIL! ^_^ Sir Vince had the generosity (or audacity? LOL. joke lang!) to impart 2 songs with Bee's guitar: 1979 by the Smashing Pumpkins (which i am downloading now) and "In Your Eyes" ::sniffsniff:: by a new wave band called The Rievers(?) (which i cannot find, someone give me a copy!) =(

I'll REALLY genuinely miss those classes, no matter how boring English is sometimes and petrifying Mr. Pu is while calling us one by one to interpret poetry... i'll miss Sir Vince's corny jokes and snarky remarks and Mr. Pu's fanged smile. LOL.

Aaawwww.... =(

I found out that we were going to have Alexis Abola as prof next sem.. O-M-G. ::faint::

Speaking of next sem, a LOT of people will be shifting out of Lit. =( and that includes Katz... Awwww... ::sniffsniff::

Ahsadhfueawpefihawp~! I can't believe i won't be taking summer classes for Math becuase it costs a freaking 11k not including my everyday fare and baon. We don't reek of money, ya know.. Hmmm... I guess i'll have to endure taking it next sem.. I'd like to get it over with by the end of Sophomore year. Hopefully by first sem, but i don't think there's Ma12 in the first sem.. so that means i'll take it 2nd sem next year. ::sigh:: Just HAD to fail math didn't i? GRRRR... I feel so stupid..

And i found out last week, i'm "endangered" in Botany, as my prof kindly put it. Nduedheofn! *_*

In case you didn't notice, Science and Math are my waterloo - a true English Major at heart. Haha. Please, Lord, I DO NOT want to fail Botany. T_T Hnngg... ::sob::

FINALS are next week, and i have a debut to attend on Sunday night. hahaha! ^_^

I HAVE GOT TO ACE MY BOTANY FINALS! Waaaaaahhhh!!!

The pic above is Katz and I working on set design (first two), and the third is of someone i don't know! Hahahaha!

my first serious poem since high school

Love Actually

It’s in an embrace
after a game my team loses;
A breakfast in bed
at Sunday morning, my sweet.
Thereby resolving a dispute
through a hundred roses,
Or initiating a saccharine pseudo
as passions meet.
It’s in the profound,
and in the mundane;
at hand wherever warm smiles
are gained.
Wrapped in a cookie
given with hope;
it’s enclosed in your letters,
which perpetually help me cope.
It’s in Her,
Jane Austen – read the thousandth time;
Or Shakespeare plays
you’ve learned each and every line.
It’s all in your mom
who wraps you in a hug
Or the puppy who wags his tail
as he gives your pants a tug.

gad, it's been a LONG time since i seriously wrote a poem which i liked. i can't believe i've only kept a few of those i made since high school. :( they're all in my old notebooks stuck in storage at school. waaaahh... another one of my old school's peculiarities: they require our notebooks to be passed at the each end of term and store it up somewhere unknown to us students. yeesh.

btw, this is one of the two poems we had to submit in lit14 for our class portfolio for the end of the sem. i know, it's probably no match compared to my other classmates' profound entries, and i made this just out of the blue (inspired by the movie "love actually" starring hugh grant, hence the title with no originality... so sue me.), but i now find that i quite like it. :)

here's a siomai - to siomai love for you.
now here's a hopia - hopia love me too! ^^;
